Two ranges, two orders of magnitude
For premium family use in Belgium, two Mercedes-Benz ranges stand out in the Belgian price records: the Classe E and the Classe S. The ranges below were recorded on 1 August 2026 on Moniteur Automobile and re-checked on 2 August 2026.

Classe E — the best retention in the set
The Classe E is the Autovista 2025 winner in the large saloon category. It is the best value retention observed across our entire tracking set, all brands and all powertrains included. For a family selling at four or five years, that is a documented argument, not an impression.
As a petrol estate, the Brussels road tax is recorded at €931.66 a year. The manufacturer warranty is 2 years, extendable to 8.
Classe S — the powertrain choice decides everything
On the Classe S, the heaviest line of the budget is not the purchase price but the choice of powertrain. In Brussels, the annual tax is €931.66 in diesel and €2,374.94 in petrol: €1,443.28 of difference a year, €4,329.84 over three years, for the same body and the same use.
No published residual value was found for this model. With no sourceable data, nothing is claimed here about its resale.
The list price says €123,904. The annual invoice says something else entirely.
And company taxation
Both ranges are combustion or plug-in hybrid. Ordered by a company in 2026, they are 0% deductible. The reference CO2 used for the 2026 benefit in kind is 70 g/km in petrol and 58 g/km in diesel, set by the Royal Decree of 17 December 2025.
